Qualifications

I have been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since 1993 (Member 972517). I am also a member of the Florida Bar's Elder Law and Workers' Compensation special sections. See my Florida Bar listing for more information. The Florida Bar has a directory where you can check members' status with the Bar and obtain basic contact information.

My practice consists primarily of personal injury, workers' compensation, elder law, probate, real estate, and insurance law cases. I have experience both as a defense attorney for large insurance companies and as a plaintiff's attorney. My practice has been focused in Volusia and Flagler counties, though I do handle some cases outside of the area.

In 1992, I graduated from Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, with a law-juris doctorate. Immediately thereafter, a law firm in Daytona Beach hired me as a defense attorney and I moved to Ormond Beach. Until 1989, I lived in Mountain View, California, where I managed the advertising department of Arabian Horse World magazine for seven years.  In 1980, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.
